The Dawgs Academy started off their annual college tour yesterday with a double header against perennial NJCAA powerhouse Salt Lake Community College. The Dawgs would drop both games on the day, but there were some standout performances from several players.
Leo Griffin (Hutchinson CC commit) would go 1 for 2 with a stolen base and one run scored on a 4-3 FC RBI off the bat of Eric Hartman (Washington State University commit). Other Dawgs collecting hits in the double header include Turner Zdunich, Avery Deisroth, Quincy Jenkins and Cas Herold with a bases clearing 3 run double.
On the mound, Trey Nott (uncommitted ’24) threw 2 scoreless innings allowing only 1 hit. Santiago Rodriguez (uncommitted ’25) threw 3 innings allowing 2 runs on 2 hits while striking out 2.
The Dawgs look to rebound today as they take on the University of Utah Utes at 12 pm.
