One of the many advantages of being in the Dawgs Academy is having the opportunity to get exposure to all levels of college baseball and professional scouts from across North America. During this trip in Indianapolis, the Dawgs coaching staff managed to arrange a workout at NCAA D1 BIG 10 school, Purdue University.
It was an outstanding experience for the kids to be able to work out and showcase their talents in front of a Power 5 school, and to see exactly what they can accomplish with hard work, academics and ability to play the game at an exceptional level.
Despite the weather being poor, the Dawgs were able to work out in front of Purdue’s coaching staff in their outstanding indoor facilities where we were able to hit BP and throw bullpens. Purdue coaching staff was truly impressed with the depth of talent on the team, and had some great things to say about the program, taking time to speak to our players at the end of a tour of the locker room and training facilities.
The Dawgs take a great deal of pride in trying to get our athletes exposed and give them opportunities to help them succeed at the next level, and this is just another perfect example of what it means to be a Dawg and the advantage of having the opportunity to be a part of the program.
GO DAWGS!
