Dawgs 13U Win Back-to-Back Tournaments

The Dawgs 13U played host this Father’s Day Weekend for their 4th Annual Dawgs Father’s Day Classic. The tournament featured 5 teams including Team Dinger, Lethbridge Academy, Sherwood Park and South Jasper.

It was just last weekend when the Dawgs managed to win the St. James A’s Peewee Tournament in Manitoba, and the boys picked up right where they left off in Manitoba.

The Dawgs would end up going 3-1 in round robin play, good enough for the #2 seed in the tournament right behind the undefeated Lethbridge Academy – a perfect 4-0 in round robin play, and the only team to defeat the Dawgs in the tournament. It was in the championship game on Sunday when the Dawgs would have their chance to redeem themselves against Lethbridge after defeating Team Dinger 8-7 in the semi-finals.

The Dawgs would end up defending their title and cruised to a 9-5 victory over Lethbridge.

Dawgs Coaching Staff is incredibly proud of the effort and relentless compete the kids showed this weekend! GO DAWGS!
