Game 1
Dawgs 13U defeated Great Falls Outlaws 13U 10-6 on Saturday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at five with Okotoks Dawgs Academy 13U batting in the top of the fifth when Eric Logee singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Owen Pote led the Dawgs to victory by driving in four runs. He went 3-for-3 at the plate. Pote drove in runs on a single in the first, a single in the third, and a single in the fifth.
Ty Baisley-Dickson earned the win pitching three innings while allowing one run on one hit and striking out four on the day. Dryden Lamb threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
The offense carried the Dawgs to victory and tallied nine hits and ten stolen bases on the day. Owen Pote, Ethan Rowland, and Jack Lines each racked up multiple hits in the game.
Game 2
Great Falls Lightning 13U tied the game on a passed ball in the fifth inning, resulting in a tie against the Dawgs 13U.
The Dawgs managed to tally 6 hits in the game. Jack Lines could not be beat at the plate, as he went 3-for-3 to lead the Dawgs offense while Rowan Robinson, Nate McEwan and Ethan Rowland each collected one hit. Jack Kenney, Owen Pote, Ethan Rowland and Ty Baisley-Dickinson each chipped in with one RBI.
Rowan Robinson was dominant on the mound. He pitched 3 innings, allowed 0 runs and struck out 7 while only walking one. Unfortunately, Robinson would get the no-decision. Jack Kenney and Gavin Gosselin both pitched in relief.
