The Dawgs 18U Black won their fifth consecutive Mother’s Day Classic in convincing fashion with a 10-2 victory over the North Delta Bluejays.

Micah McDowell led the offensive onslaught going 3-for-3 including a double with four RBI’s and three stolen bases. The Dawgs collected thirteen hits in the game with McDowell and Keller both collecting multiple hits. Alejandro Cazorla went 1-for-3 with two RBI’s. Ricardo Sanchez went 1-for-3 with an RBI double, and Kaden Zarowny went 1-for-2 with an RBI double and two runs scored.

Juan Morales earned the win pitching three innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out one and walking one. Michael Johnson pitched two innings of relief, allowing one run on two hits.

Four runs batted in from Micah McDowellhelped lead Okotoks Dawgs Academy 18U Blackpast North Delta Blue Jays 10-2 on Sunday. McDowelldrove in runs on a single in the second and a double in the third.

Congratulations to all the Dawgs players in the program on a great weekend of baseball in our Mother’s Day Classic. Great job by the 18U Black on pulling through and winning it for the fifth straight year.
