Dawgs Legend, Don Seaman Passes Away
It is with profound sadness that the Dawgs announce the passing of Don Seaman, principal donor, visionary and Dawgs legend just 17 days before his 100th birthday.
Dawgs Founding and Managing Director, John Ircandia had this to say:
"In the sports world it has become a "thing" to label an athlete as the "GOAT", the Greatest of All Times. Tom Brady in football, Wayne Gretzky in hockey, Babe Ruth, now Shohei Ohtani in baseball, Roger Federer in tennis, each has been identified with this description in their chosen sport. A friend recently used this term to describe Don. I reflected on that and realized that Don was truly the GOAT, not in one sport or another, although he excelled at most, but in the greater game of life!"
The Dawgs will hold a honorary pre game ceremony to honour Don at 7:05pm on Friday, July 18th when the Dawgs face the Regina Red Sox.
Thank you for everything Don. None of this would be possible without you. RIP.
