The Dawgs Academy program has always prided itself on its ability to provide post-secondary opportunities for its athletes, evident in its 100% success rate in facilitating college baseball opportunities to graduating players since its inception in Okotoks in 2007. 10 years, over 100 graduates, all given an opportunity to play college baseball. As a testament to the continued growth of the Dawgs Academy, former and current Dawgs are not only represented in Colleges throughout North America, they are garnering attention from nationally ranked organizations.
For those reading that are unfamiliar with college baseball and there rankings here is a quick breakdown. There are 3 major governing organizations in college athletics (NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA). NCAA and NJCAA are structured by divisions (D1, D2, D3). Divisions are primarily dictated by school size, budget, and the ability to offer scholarships. The number of colleges with baseball programs within these associations, plus smaller associations such as the CCCA, CCBC, and NCCAA, equate to roughly 1700 schools. Ranking criteria for these schools differ by organization, but they will typically only list the top 10-25 programs. For example, there are just under 300 NCA D1 baseball programs. 25 of them receive a ranking (top 8%).
The rankings are subject to change, typically re-tiered every week. Here are a few former Dawgs at, and currently committed too, ranked programs (2018-03-20 rankings)
