Congratulations to the Dawgs 18U Black on winning the 2025 PBA JV Tournament in Lethbridge, AB.

During the pool play, the Dawgs went 3-0 after beating the AHP Rustlers 11-0, ATHX Redhawks 8-5 and Calgary Premier Blues 12-0.

The Dawgs would take on the Vauxhall Jets in the semifinals, beating the Jets 9-2. Preston Tocheniuk earned the win pitching 4 innings while allowing 2 runs on 3 hits with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. Max Poirier earned the 3 inning save, allowing 0 runs on 4 hits while striking out 4. Offensively, the Dawgs tallied 9 hits, led by 2026 Michigan commit Quincy Jenkins who went 2 for 4 with a double and 3 RBI. The Dawgs had 4 doubles from Alex Kitzan, Louis-Charles Larouche, Quincy Jenkins and Tim Piasentin.

In the championship game, the Dawgs would take on the Webber Academy Wildcats, winning 6-1. Josh Mills (2027) got the start on the mound for the Dawgs and pitched great through 5 innings allowing 1 run on 4 hits with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts. Will Labonte (Portland commit) pitched the last 2 innings of hitless baseball while striking out 1. Offensively, the Dawgs racked up 11 hits, led by Taye Thierman going 3 for 3 including a double, triple and 1 RBI & Tim Piasentin (Miami commit) going 2 for 4 with 2 singles and 1 RBI.
