The Dawgs managed to win their first game of the college tour as they beat the Southwest Oregon Community College Lakers by a score of 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at Joe Etzel Field.

The Dawgs won behind a complete game shutout by Sawyer Fech. In 7 innings, Fech scattered 4 hits while walking 1 with 8 strikeouts. Offensively, the Dawgs managed to get 4 hits including a double by Tyler Hummel and a triple by Chase Logan. Tim Piasentin (’25 University of Miami commit) collected the sole RBI on a sac fly in the 1st inning.

The Dawgs will travel to Longview, WA on Monday morning to workout in front of Lower Columbia Community College’s coaching staff followed by their last game on Tuesday, October 10th against University of Washington.
