The Dawgs Academy continued their college tour on Monday afternoon as they took on the Gonzaga Bulldogs at Patterson Baseball Complex and Coach Steve Hertz Field in Spokane, WA.
The Dawgs competed well throughout the 14 innings and were tied 1-1 going into the bottom of the 5th inning before the Bulldogs busted things open in the 8th inning, winning the game by a score of 13-2.
Jerome Pare (Gonzaga commit), got the start going 5 innings allowing 4 runs on 3 hits with 2 strikeouts on 84 pitches. Trey Nott pitched 3 solid innings allowing 3 runs on 3 hits with 3 strikeouts. Tim Piasentin (University of Miami commit) hit a double and scored a run on a 3-1 FC RBI off the bat of Sawyer Fech., and Brandon Paez chipped in with a single.
The Dawgs will continue their college tour tomorrow as they take on the Spokane Falls Community College Sasquatch at 1pm.
