The college baseball season is underway and the Dawgs are well-represented across almost every level of college baseball with 67 alumni on active college rosters for 2023.

This week’s alumni spotlight features former academy standouts- Matt Wilkinson (LHP, Central Arizona) and Ryder Hancock (OF, Chandler-Gilbert).

Matt Wilkinson (LHP, Central Arizona College, Arizona State University commit)

Affectionately known as Tugboat, Wilkinson has started the season off hot for the defending NJCAA D1 World Series Champions- Central Arizona Vaqueros. In 3 starts, Tug has pitched 18 innings with a stingy 1.00 era while averaging 13 K/9. Dominant!

Ryder Hancock (OF, Chandler-Gilbert Community College)

Currently in his freshman year for the ‘Yotes, Hancock has made an impact early on in 2023. In 8 games played, Hancock is batting .385 with 1 home run, 6 RBI and 8 stolen bases. Look for Ryder to continue making an impact as the season progresses.
