The scouting report on former Dawg Eric Hartman is often all about his 70-grade speed, which helped him steal 48 bags in 89 games during his first professional season in 2025. On Tuesday, though, he put on an incredible power display.

The Atlanta Braves’ No. 20 prospect mashed three home runs for High-A Rome in a 15-6 win over Greensboro, setting all kinds of history in the process. The 19-year-old center fielder went 5-for-5 in all with a walk and five RBIs.

Hartman got started early, hitting a first-inning long ball inside the right-field line for a two-run shot, with his second coming in the third inning. Hartman singled twice and earned his walk before finishing his day with a ninth-inning big fly to deep right-center field.

A 20th-round pick in the 2024, Hartman now has six homers in just 14 games in 2026, already topping his output of five a year ago. Tuesday’s outburst made him one of just three Minor Leaguers this season with six or more homers and stolen bases thus far.

And Hartman is in pretty good company when it comes to his 5-for-5 performance. Since 2005, the only other teenage players to go 5-for-5 with a walk in a game at High-A or above were Oscar Taveras (Cardinals, 2012), Rafael Devers (Red Sox, 2016) and Jackson Holliday (Orioles, 2023), all of whom were among the top 10 prospects in the game at the time.

If Hartman -- now slashing .310/.365/.724 -- has a newfound power stroke, look out.
