The Dawgs Program was built on the philosophy that providing the best facilities, the best coaching and the best competition created the best opportunities for youth players to maximize their potential. The Dawgs phenomenal track record in graduating its players to premier U.S. college programs and the MLB amateur draft over a number of years tells us the Dawgs philosophy is working.
Adding to that philosophy the Dawgs also are determined to never rest on past laurels. Accordingly, the program continues to add quality, professional coaching, including former MLB star, Matt Stairs, and to upgrade its already state of the art facilities. In the past year upgrades have included various additions to the Dawgs showcase, Seaman Stadium, such as new field level suites, new seating sections and new hospitality patios. Prior to the 2025 season, the Dawgs will also be undertaking a number of player and fan friendly, improvements to its second stadium, Tourmaline Field.
In addition to the various stadium upgrades, the Dawgs are in the midst of major improvements to its state of the art, indoor training center, the Duvernay Fieldhouse. In particular, the Dawgs are currently completing a 4000 square foot addition to its Weight Training Center of Excellence adding the latest, baseball specific, weights and training equipment. And this spring the Dawgs will add another 6000 square foot Pitching and Hitting Lab, including 5 new hitting and pitching lanes, a viewing and instruction area, all incorporating the latest in technology to better analyze and improve pitching and hitting mechanics.
As Dawgs founding and managing director, John Ircandia, has quipped many times: “Rust never sleeps…..and neither do the Dawgs when it comes to offering our players the very best in development opportunities”.
