This week’s Dawgs Academy Alumni Spotlight features Micah McDowell (OF, Oregon State University) and Noah Geekie (LHP, Emporia State University).

Micah McDowell - Outfield, Oregon State University

McDowell is now in his senior year and has gotten off to a good start for the perennial powerhouse Oregon State University Beavers. In 5 games played, McDowell is batting .458 with 2 doubles and 6 RBI while scoring 7 runs and stealing 2 bases. Look for McDowell to keep things rolling for the Beavers as they look to make their way back to Omaha for the College World Series.

Noah Geekie - LHP, Emporia State University

Geekie enters his senior year for the Emporia State University Hornets with more of a focus on pitching in 2023. In 4 games started, Geekie has logged 21 innings pitched while racking up 25 strikeouts to just 4 walks while going 2-2 on the season so far! Look for Noah to keep it going as he looks to anchor the pitching staff in 2023!
