The Dawgs 15U Black put up seven runs in the fourth inning on its way to an 11-1 run-rule victory over the Saskatoon Brewers to win the Okotoks Dawgs Canada Day Classic Tournament.

Karter Anderson led the Dawgs to the championship on the mound. Anderson surrendered one run on four hits over five innings, striking out eight and walking zero.

The Dawgs offense managed to collect ten hits in the game, highlighted by a solo home run off the bat of Cole Carroll. Ben Hoshizaki went 3-for-3 at the plate with 2 RBI’s including a double. Russell Mattson went 2-for-3 at the plate and scored one run. Other contributors to the offensive onslaught included Luke Wilson, Conor Pote, Max Hartman, Kieran Kealey, and Liam Lewis; all of them chipped in with one hit apiece. Joey Gagnon, Max Hartman, Cole Carroll and Conor Pote each chipped in one RBI in the championship.

Congratulations Dawgs 15U Black on playing great baseball all weekend and winning the championship!
