The Okotoks Dawgs 18U Black played some of their best baseball of the year and knocked off the Victoria Eagles by a score of 6-2 to win the Langley Blaze Invitational.
The championship marks the first time in Dawgs Academy history of winning the tournament, one the program has been attending for past 5 years. The Langley Blaze Invitational features 20 of the top teams in Western Canada, Washington and Ontario, with the 18U Black Pool featuring 4 of the top teams in the tournament- Langley Blaze, Chaffey Baseball Club (Washington), North Shore Twins and the Dawgs.
